We just concluded the 20/7 Art Shirt contest last Sunday and just yesterday, we announced to winners. It was a tough decision on who to pick as the winners. Most of them are incredibly witty and funny enough, but only 20 should be chosen.

On the course of monitoring the comments, we can’t stop laughing or feeling confused on the stuff we read. Extremities of nonsense to super funny to incredible ones mixed together, and our brains were about to explode! Haha but it was fun. We felt loved (seriously, we did, right guys? No? Oh, umm.) Let me share to you some of the funny comments we received on Crucifishball design alone.

This one, though she didn’t win, was sort of reaching out to a special someone. Probably if she did win the shirt, her Romeo’s heart will be pierced bull’s eye. Just hoping Cupid will not use a fishball stick!

One funny guy commented also on the fishball image in connection with her wife. I don’t know what he means by this comment, but it made us blurt ‘WHAAAAAT???’ when we read it. I don’t know how other Assumptionistas will react too.

For the last thing, we are honored to have officially crowned one of the winners as the Fishball Queen of her school. Her story is quite dramatic yet silly, and we approved of her clamor to win the Crucifishball shirt. Now off she goes to the Fishball Kingdom, wherever that is.

It was an incredible experience to host a contest like this. It was the first time we gave away shirts for free. It was awesome, and we feel like its the right time to do so. So until the next contest guys! We’re hoping every thing we receive will cheer everyone!

If you’re wondering who’s to blame about that funny but witty sheep artwork, here he is. Our featured artist Javy Amistoso sharing some laugh and thoughts with the Qwezer guys. He doesn’t bite. :P

Qwezer just got a new look and feel with its new website. Why, what’s the matter with old one? It was crap. Seriously, the old website was created just to “hurry things” up. So as expected, it turned out not that great. Not what we expected, no grandeur nor class. That’s when the Qwezer guys (the five of us) knew we needed to modify things. Modify everything, if needed. Time to evolve or get eaten by the old era. With the website up and running last November, we juggled things with online shopping and bazaars. It gave us the confidence to push more and focus on our brand. As the year 2012 opened its doors, we set the goal of improving all our system. Three and a half months later, and here we are: improved website, improved artworks, improved shirt quality, improve soul of the product. Believe me, hundreds of deliberations were done in meetings and late night dinner talks. We are really proud of the miles we have reached in this business, hardships and obstacles met along the way but never made us stop. Yet, it was still the beginning. There’s still a lot more to do. As we have stated in our About page, we’re just in phase 1 and 2 of our world domination strategy. WORLD DOMINATION! Haha, crazy stuff. Aim for the stars they say. No, we’re contented in making the world our own.

It’s our first write-up for this blog. We like to document the stuff we do while we do it. Not just to share to our lovely customers but also to keep a tab in the future about our history. Who knows, this might make us cry when we read it when we’re already in our 50’s! :)

I first came upon Qwezer last year, when I was a volunteer at ToyCon. When we weren’t busy manning our positions, we’d have some free time to look around and browse the stalls. At the time, I almost wasn’t able to buy one of their shirts because I had already blown all my moolah on comics, bags and blank Munnies. But thanks to their patient salespeople and my generous friends, I was able to grab one of their Zombie Rizal shirts. Ang Makata was then and still is my absolute favorite of Qwezer’s art tees.

Since then, the shirt has been a great conversation piece—in fact, pretty much all their designs are guaranteed head-turners. They refer to their shirts as artworks and rightly so. The print’s of good quality too; so far I haven’t had to worry about it fading or peeling off on my shirt.

And ‘lo! I also give you the end of your boy-gift problems! Show me a guy who wouldn’t love Aim High Samurai (my friend certainly did) and I’m willing to bet he’s a cyborg. And not a cool one like Robocop—I mean a real, unfeeling cyborg, man.

For P350—and that already includes shipping, so score!—I’d say their shirts are a steal. I have my eye on New Dawn and Bed Time Bear. I hope to get my paws on them soon before the people behind Qwezer finally realize how awesome their stuff is and suddenly jack up the prices.
